D week turned out to be about dinosaurs and stars and a little bit of Easter. The children earned the 100th cleanup star this week, and celebrated on Wednesday with projects and snacks. There is now a long strip of paper outside our classroom showing just how many 100 is, and we plan to add to it as we finish the school year. How many might we earn by the end of May? Lots of friends sent 100 food items-popcorn, pretzels, jelly beans, banana chips, etc, which we combined in a giant bowl of trail mix. What a yummy snack!
The dinosaur display was popular, too. Lots of imaginary play as the dinosaurs moved around on their hillside.
Empty gallon jugs became bunny baskets as we prepare for Easter. Create a face with a paper plate and googly eyes, add 2 colorful ears, and presto!
The week after Spring Break will be filled with coloring and hunting eggs-please remember to send 6 hard boiled eggs with your child on that Monday and Tuesday!
